This collection is the culmination of over a dozen years of practice, study, and academic training.

I’ve written thousands of poems during that time. I’ll be the first to admit that many were crap. A few were pretty good.

Inside, you will find love, pain, hope, and some difficult questions. All the forces that drive us to poetry - I promise they are here in these pages.

PARTY ANIMALS is a poetry collection that tackles head-on the conflicting forces of poverty, climate change, religion, and politics.

Divided into three chapters, the work tells a story in verse. Each chapter explicates and expands the premise of what came before:

-Phylogenetics exhumes ancient family history to situate the reader in the context of the past.

-Cladistics takes this context and applies it to present day, manifesting how both cruelty and kindness ripple forward in time.

-Finally, Divergence gazes into the future to discover the metaphysical consequences of our lives and choices, navigating the tension between dogmatic religion and amorphous spirituality to chart a new path forward.
